VANABIO® PS3813B is a colourless, low-viscosity liquid. VANABIO® PS3813B is regarded as trifunctional since all three alkoxy groups can hydrolyze.
VANABIO® PS3813B phenylsilane also contains a phenyl group that exhibits excellent thermal stability and brings flexibility to sol-gel coating systems. It is the quivalent of ShinEtsu's KBE-103.

VANABIO®PS3813Bis used to modify the suface of inorganic fillers such as wollastonite and aluminum trihydroxide. It makes the surface of these inorganic fillers more hydrophobic and thus increases their dispersability in mineral-filled silicone polymers. VANABIO®PS3813Bis especially suited for polymers that are processed at elevated temperatures. VANABIO®PS3813Breduces the viscosity of the polymer melt.
VANABIO®PS3813Breacts slower with water than VANABIO®PS3813A.
VANABIO®PS3813Bcan be used as a crosslinker in high-temperature silicone elastomers
In many sol-gel applications VANABIO®PS3813Bis partially hydrolyzed to form a preproduct that can be further crosslinked using temperature. This pre-hydrolysis is often made in conjunction with alkyl silanes (VANABIO® PC5132) or other silanes (e.g. VANABIO® ES5310), silicic acid esters, or even an aqueous silica sol.
VANABIO®PS3813Bcan be used as a stereo-regulator for Ziegler-Natta-catalysts to increase the isotactic index in polypropylene. (A donor)
VANABIO®PS3813Bis supplied in 190Kg steel drum.
In the unopened original container VANABIO®PS3813Bhas a shelf life of one year in a dry and cool place.
