VANABIO® IS2271

3-Isocyanatopropyltrimethoxysilane

VANABIO® IS2271 is an isocyanate functional silane. It is used for the functionalization of numerous compounds with active hydrogen atoms.

VANABIO® IS2271 hydrolyzes in the presence of moisture to form silanols, which can react with themselves to produce siloxanes.

It is the equivalent of Momentive's A-Link 35, Wacker's GF40 silane.

VANABIO® IS2271 and VANABIO®IS2272 can be used as silane crosslinking agent for one part moisture curable urethane adhesives, sealants and coatings.

VANABIO® IS2271 and VANABIO®IS2272 can be used as adhesion promoters for one part moisture curable and two part reactive urethane systems.

VANABIO®IS2272 hydrolyzes slower than VANABIO® IS2271. VANABIO®IS2272 is better for applications requring greater open time or enhanced shelf stability.
VANABIO® IS2271 and VANABIO®IS2272 can be used as adhesion promoters for silicone coatings or sealants, to enhance adhesion to organic substrates with active hydrogen atoms.

VANABIO® IS2271 and VANABIO®IS2272 can provide good wet adhesion to glass, metal and other inorganic substrates, and can provide good thermal, chemical and UV stable performance.

VANABIO® IS2271 is supplied in 25Kg plastic drum, 200Kg steel drum or 1000Kg IBC container.
