3-Glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane

VANABIO® ES5310 is an epoxy-functional silane; it is a clear, light straw liquid. VANABIO® ES5310 may be used as a coupling agent in polysulfide and polyurethane caulks and sealants, in mineral-filled or glass-reinforced thermosets and thermoplastics, and in glass roving size-binders. 


It is particularly employed as an adhesion-promoting silicone additive in waterborne systems, e.g. improving the adhesion of acrylic latex sealants. VANABIO® ES5310 gamma glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane is the equivalent of Momentive's A-187, Dow's Z-6040, Wacker's GF80, Evonik's Dynasylan GLYMO, ShinEtsu's KBM-403.

Application


  • VANABIO® ES5310 epoxy silane may improve dry and wet strength in cured composites reinforced with glass fiber rovings.


  • VANABIO® ES5310 may enhance wet electrical properties of epoxy-based encapsulate and packaging materials.


  • VANABIO® ES5310 may eliminate the need for a separate primer in polysulfide and urethane sealants.


  • VANABIO® ES5310 epoxy functional silane oligomer may improve adhesion in waterborne acrylic sealants and in urethane and epoxy coatings.


Packing and Storage


  • VANABIO® ES5310 is supplied in 200Kg steel drum or 1000Kg IBC container.


  • In the unopened original container VANABIO® ES5310 has a shelf life of one year in a dry and cool place.
